EISENBERG QUARTETT. Kamerkoncerts PIE GRĀFA LOBKOVICA.
This year, from September 14 to 20, for the eleventh time the admirers of the early music was delighted with the traditional Baroque Music Days in Rezekne. The program offered the concerts of the chamber music, workshops and opera performance withheld in the theme of the Czech baroque.
Baroque Music Days of this year were dedicated to the Czech baroque. In the program resounded the Czech music, language, performed Czech musicians. Festival “Baroque Music Days in Rezekne” is a unique event in the measure of Latvia and the world. The mission of the festival has always been providing the opportunity for the audience to experience and enjoy the compositions, which in the form of the transcripts have laid on the shelves of libraries for centuries. Here resounded the music that has stayed silent for more than 200 or 300 years. This year also, Baroque Music Days brought to the light the compositions that was a discovery for both, listeners and musicians.
Festival “Baroque Music Days in Rezekne” in the year 2015 was supported by the Ministry of Culture, State Culture Capital Foundation, Rezekne City Council, the Embassy of Latgale GORS, Český Hudební Fund, Czech Foreign Ministry, Embassy of the Czech Republic in Latvia, Kultur Basel and Pro Helvetia.
The attendants of the concert “String Quartettes of the Beginning of 19th Century” had an opportunity to enjoy the compositions of Ludwig van Beethoven, Johann Joseph Resler, Jiri Sycha and Vincent Flückiger.
