On February 6th, with the two colorful performances will appear the Belarus State Academic Musical Theatre (Белорусский государственный академический музыкальный театр), offering everyone to experience both, the adventures of Buratino and the life in the Russian village.
At 11.00 the children and adults will be taken on an exciting adventure with the musical “Buratino” – a colorful and adventurous musical performed by the Belarus State Academic Musical Theatre (Белорусский государственный академический музыкальный театр) with an unusual music by Aleksey Ribnikov, The performance will offer the joy not only for children, but also for their parents, who surely remembers well the movie shot more than 30 years ago – “Adventures of Buratino”. Musical performance offers the audience to experience the nowadays version of the beloved story about Buratino. The composer of the music is Aleksey Ribnikov – Russian national artist. He highly appreciates the performance expressing it in the interview: ”The creators of the musical managed to keep the world of Buratino. This performance is very powerful in its dramatism and musical presentation. When I saw young children dancing in the audience and heard them shouting "Bu-ra-ti-no!", I understood – there will be one more generation growing up with this musical."
In the evening, at 18.30 the theater performance „Shalom Aleichem!" („Шалом Алейхем! Мир вам, люди!") will take everyone to Anatovka - the pre-revolutionary Jewish village in Russia, which has been inhabited by Russians, Ukrainians and Jewish for long years. They all lived together, worked together, they only died in separate cemeteries. That is the tradition! In the village also lived the tailor Motel, Fedja the writer and milk carrier Tevje. They all had five daughters, two cows, an old horse, as well as the hope to marry their daughter into the families that will get them out of the poverty… Performance "Shalom Aleichem" ("Шалом Алейхем! Мир вам, люди!") has been based on the performance “Memorial Prayer” of the play "Milk Carrier Tevje" ("Тевье-молочник").
Tickets for the performance can be purchased at the ticket office of the Embassy of Latgale GORS and „Biļešu Paradīze”. Ticket prices for the musical „Buratino” are 7,00–15,00 €, for „Shalom Aleihem!” - 12,00–22,00.
