On April 10, at 19.00 in the Embassy of the Latgale GORS will be an opportunity to experience the program that has never been performed together in one concert before – the program by Latvian Radio Choir “Fairytales and the Cantos”.
During the concert will be performed the compositions from the opening and closing concerts of the Event of the Leading Choirs of Europe or the TENSO days, that took the place in October of 2014. That will be an Inuit story in the interpretation of an opus “The First Tears” by Ēriks Ešenvalds and “Sirmās dvēseles” (“Grey Souls”) by Līga Celma-Kursiete after the motives of stories with the same title by Kārlis Skalbe. During the concert, a composition for choir and old believers priest “Paradisus Vocis” by Andrejs Selickis will be performed as well. The composition is written after the Byzantines cantos research trip made to the most ancient religious temples and monasteries in Turkey and Greece. Also a part of the concert program will be the composition by Bernata Vivankosa “O Virgo Splendens”.
Together with the Latvian Radio Choir will perform Aleksandrs Maijers (Jew's harp, pipes), but the cantos will be enriched with the performance of new Catholic priest Kārlis Miķelsons, Old Believers priest Father Vasīlijs (Vasīlijs Volkovs) and the party or the soprano will be performed by Iveta Romancāne.
At the conductor stand will be the Artistic Director of the Latvian Radio Choir Sigvards Kļava, however the direction and video projections will be made by Roberts Rubīns.
The concert ticket prices are from 7,00 to 15,00 €, and can be purchased at the ticket offices of the Embassy of Latgale GORS and “Biļešu Paradīze”.
