„If people would ask me, how do I evaluate the announcement of MENUETS – that in the honor of their anniversary, they have gone on the last concert tour – I would say that this is probably just a little advertisement. I cannot imagine that these people, these musicians, that I know so well, musicians that wave this amazing potential, could ever just decide to stop playing and say: “Now we will just sit in the peace!” At the end, every worldwide known musicians announce time by time: “Ow, we are going on our last concert tour!” However, returns on the stage after just a little time of silence…”
Composer Imants Kalniņš said the same exactly five years ago. He has turned out to be a clairvoyant, because the expressed in now happening: on his 45th anniversary, MENUETS returns, thrilling, touching to tears, and inviting to sing together from the deep of the heart.
