August was concluded with the atmosphere of Italy.
On August 31, the film and music month in the Embassy of Latgale GORS, as well as the feeling of summer easiness in the repertoire of the concert hall was concluded with the sense and enjoyment of the beautiful landscape, vine, and classical music of Italy.
For the first time in Rezekne, the listeners had the opportunity to experience concert series “Vine and Music”, this time dedicated to Italy. The delights of music were complemented by an outstanding opera singer Sonora Vaice and the singer, sonorous tenor Jānis Ķirsis, with the concert master of Latvia leading solo singers – Ilze Ozoliņa – at the piano. The musical program of compositions by Gaetano Donizetti, Jakomo Puccini, Gioachino Rossini, Giuseppe Verdi where the ones bringing us to Italy. However, in order to come closer to the traditional feeling of Italy, a little bit different from the previously experienced in the Small Hall, the audience during the intermission had the opportunity to taste the vines of the „Casa Vinicola Zonin” group. The vine pleasure during the second part of the concert were complemented with the professional narration about music and vine, as well as their enjoyment process – their experience and the knowledge shared the co-owner of the bar “Garage” Jānis Jenzis, Director of “Latvijas Koncerti” Guntars Ķirsis and a professional wine connoisseur Mārtiņš Jerums.
Among the concert visitors was the Head of Rezekne City Council Aleksandrs Bartaševičs, who, in a conversation with "Latvian Concert" Director Guntars Ķirsis, acknowledged that such a combination of a wine and good classical music could become a tradition in Rezekne city.
