In 2016 on 20th anniversary, the largest Latvian record company “Mikrofona ieraksti” organized a talent show “Super Microphone 2016” in the largest concert halls of Latvia.
During these 20 years, MicRec has released more than 600 albums of different performers. Company has collaborated almost with every the most popular musicians in Latvia, including performers as Raimonds Pauls, Brainstorm, Līvi, Laima Vaikule, Tumsa, Credo, Uldis Marhilevičs, Igo, Olga Rajecka, Lauris Reiniks, Musiqq and others.
Meanwhile, “Mikrofona ieraksti” are always looking for new names and talents, offering an opportunity to grow and develop as well to record new compositions. This is the reason for the record company to celebrate their anniversary in numerous cities of Latvia, that way offering an opportunity for new talents to shine, while also providing an outstanding performance of well-known performers.
Talent competition was led by the singer and master of ceremonies Lauris Reiniks. Jury has been formed by the professionals of the music industry: Olga Rajecka, Guntars Račs, Elita Mīlgrāve, Aija Andrejeva and others.
However, the final decision of the competition was made by the audience – everyone was provided with an opportunity to vote for their favorite performer! Everyone was a part of the audience, as well as the part of the jury!
Competition will be broadcasted by Latvian National Television (LNT), reflecting the adventures taking place at the every event.
Each winner gained a special opportunity to perform at the jubilee concert of MicRec “Legends Continue” in Arena Riga on November 9th, 2016. They also received the studio record and contract with “Mikrafona ieraksti” in a value of 1000 Euro.
