On August 10, in the Big Hall of the Embassy of Latgale GORS a place took the finale of the beauty contest “Mis and Mister Rezekne 2014”, where 10 participant fought for the title of the most beautiful juvenile.
After the brake of couple of years, the competition “Mis and Mister Rezekne” is successfully back, so the most beautiful and elegant couple could be announced for the third year in the row. In the finale of this year participated Alīna Matvejeva, Elīna Fjodorova, Zane Katkovska, Rita Kuzmina, Viktorija Jegorova, Ernests Višķers, Rolands Rumaks, Iļja Baranovskis, Toms Sandors and Raitis Lācis.
The lead of the competition was entrusted to Māris Grigalis. During the competition, as the guest artists performed the super finalist of the “Eurovision” Ivo Grīsniņš-Grīslis, the participant of the music band “Brainstorm” concert tour Evija Smagare, street gymnasts Gustavs Gedrovics and Dāvids Lazarevs, football freestyler – Romāns Brezovskis, the receiver of title „Miss Top of the World Latvia 2013” Lingita Lina Bopulu, as well as the owners of the title „Rēzeknes Princese un Princis 2014”– Anastasija Šerkina and Matvejs Zimovs.
The audience was delighted with the competition show program – contestants introduced themselves; performed with the staged dance; showed their talents; did women defile demonstrating the creations of the fashion designer Jūlija Fedorenkova; the avant-garde defile of the costumes and images created by the “Designer of Rezekne 2013” – Aleksandrs Rezvovs; as well as participated in an outstanding finale defile.
After the performances and long discussions, the Head of the jury – the Chairman of Rezekne City Council Aleksandrs Bartaševičs – together with the organizer of the world-level beauty pageants Liene Skulme announced the winners of the competition. Alīna Matvejeva was crowned as “Mis Rezekne 2014”, but the title of “Mister Rezekne” was gained by Raitis Lācis. However, the title of the „Vice Mister Rezekne 2014” was received by Rolands Rumaks but Elīna Fjodorova became „Vice Mis Rezekne 2014”.
The receivers of other titles were defined as well – „Symphaty of the Audience 2014” – Alīna Matvejeva and Rolands Rumaks ; „Sympathy of the Internet 2014” – Rolands Rumaks; „Mis and Mister Talent 2014” – Viktorija Jegorova and Toms Sandors; „Mis and Mister Fitness 2014” – Alīna Matvejeva and Ernests Višķers; „Mis and Mister Photogenic 2014” – Viktorija Jegorova and Rolands Rumaks.
