WARM WISHES. The opening of the painting exhibition of the artist Pāvels Ostapevs

On December 2015 was held the opening of the painting exhibition “Warm Wishes” of the artist Pāvels Ostapevs. With the beginning of a winter, summer colors brought back the feel of the warm season.

Artist, painter, and graphic artist Pāvels Ostapcevs was born on April 20th, 1958 in Rezekne - the city of Latvia. This was the place of his childhood and study years. In 1975, Pāvels Ostapcevs started studies in the K. Savicky Penza Art School that has been known for its richness on the traditions. He graduated in 1979 and returned to his hometown Rezekne. In 1984, he was accepted to the Artist Union New Artist Association. Since then, he has participated in the exhibitions in Latvia and abroad (Russia, Poland, Lithuania, Belarus, the United Kingdom, and Georgia). The beauty of the native lands inspires the artist to designate this as the main theme of his creative works. His creations represent the influence of the Russian art school and the traditions of Latvian artists. The creations of Pāvels Ostapcevs are included in the 5th (2013) and 10th volume (2015) of the album-catalogue “International Contemporary Artists”, published in the USA, New York. His creations have also been included in the book “Hidden Treasure Art Magazine” published in the United Kingdom in 2014.

Artist explains: “Things and items surrounding us, keeps inside a great amount of magic, more than many of the fantasies. I enjoy revealing new edges of the reality, finding the wonder in an unimportant things, unnoticed during the daily life. This is an intrigue, even a temptation. The artist is always a pioneer of things. No one before him and even after him will see the happenings the same way as it has been done by the artist himself. The colors – it is the way of revealing and discovering yourself, fields, sky, them, and those who will come much later.”
