From June 16 to July 5 in the first floor lobby of the Embassy of Latgale GORS on the display will be the exhibition “Meklējumi” (transl. Searches) created by the qualification works made by the students of the art education program of Rezekne Art and Design Secondary School.
The exhibition consists of more than 30 works of different genres created by the students (still life, landscape, city scenery, domestic theme ect.) and the stylistic painting. In the exhibition participate the new artists: Oksana Radionova, Dagne Devjatnikova, Jana Pavloviča, Jūlija Čulkova, Viktorija Zaiceva, Paraskēva Deikina and Marika Stepuļonoka-Stukanova.
This is the year when Rezekne Art and Design Secondary School celebrates it`s 56th year of the existence. In 1959, the history of the school began in the form of the branch of Riga Secondary School of Decorative Arts having just two departments: regionally traditional ceramists and at that time popular decorators. Nowadays, Rezekne Art and Design Secondary School assumedly offers the education in an eighteen different programs.
